    I have finally booked in RS for a full audio and alarm upgrade.

    I spend a lot of my time sat in traffic and the sony package is surprisingly shocking.

    Although I probably notice more as my last car had a small audio install too.

    Cant wait!!

    I agree Peewee12, the sound system is dire, what upgrades are you getting?

    I am getting different door speakers front and back a 10″ sub and a couple of amps to run it all.

    The doors are also having sound mat put in them.

    Should hopefully sound loads better when done.

    @peewee12

    Does all that add much weight to the car?

    Be interesting to know what you think when the job is completed.

    It will defiantly add some weight maybe 20kg total at the very most.

    No where near like having an extra person on board.

    I would have to work it out for the entire system as I already have some of the kit from a previous install and I am having a Clifford alarm fitted at the same time.

    I can tell you the most expensive part of the system is the main amp. I wanted to keep the standard headunit so not to ruin the look of the dash. In doing so i needed an amp with a on board processor to split the frequency’s between the door speakers and the sub amp.

    Well picked up my RS from Source Sounds this morning after 3 days of work. Their workman ship is second to none you can’t tell they have even been near the car apart from the 10” sub in the boot and the Clifford alarm LED on the dash. The audio package that have put together for me is night and day I could be more pleased.

    I only have a couple of photos as like I said most of their work is hidden away out of sight.

    The door speakers look no different as they are behind the standard grills.

    Hi!

    As a proud new owner of an RS who is planning to upgrade the audio sooner rather than later can you let me know how you have found your install a year on. It would also be great if you could let me know how much the install cost you all in?
