Hi all, first post and I have had my RS for a couple weeks now and been scouring through this forum, there’s some top info.

I’ve got a ’17 with one interior boot light.

I’m researching/preparing to fit a second light and have the new lens. I see you can buy the harness online or make yourself, but what I’m wondering is, do the mk3 focus with 2 lights have this jumper/harness?

I wonder this as I’ve noticed a standard mk3 focus in a nearby breakers so wondering if I can just remove this cable? Or is I wired differently?

    Cheers for any help

Hi @bobcat and thanks for the warm welcome.

I did see the product you sent me a link to but I believe (i may have misinterpreted what I’ve read) there are sometimes some quality control issues with that supplier.

And as an OEM fan, wondering if I can simply strip the part from that car in the breakers. Equally i don’t want to waste anyone’s time in removing trim to chase cables to learn its not going to work

@petay2900, I can not see any reason why you can not fit a lamp and wire it up yourself. I have in the past done that very thing myself on my cars 😺👍

@petay  there was another chap on here that was selling the boot cable harness with all the correct connectors on. I posted up a review of it after purchasing one. It was well made and fitted without having to completely take the trim out of the boot. I’ll have a hunt and see if I can find the posting. BTW welcome to the forum. 😊

Thanks @Bobcat you are much better at finding postings than me. Hope you’re well currently and the good days are outnumbering the bad ones?
