30 years old too.  Just came across this on tinterweb…

“Only 7 of these Ford Shoguns were produced in 1989/90, Chuck Beck and Rick Titus took the Ford Festiva and placed the 3.0 V6 SHO engine used in the Ford Taurus in the rear of the Festiva !
Converted to rear wheel drive and put on a diet, they only weighed 993 kg and had 220 bhp, and revved to 7,000 rpm, 0 – 60 mph in 5 seconds.

The silver one in the photos below belongs to Jay Leno, who has added nos which takes it to about 300 bhp or just under.”

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Love it, that’s what they should be building now (900kgs, RWD, 220HP – 7000rpm).

Love the boxy looks. Very 80’s.

Looks like it could do wheelies!.

That Nicole was a dirty stop out. Gagging for it!.
