Hi guys my cars just came out it’s first mot and it’s failed because of the rear fog. I have never used it. Is this covered under warranty ?

If its the bulb no, if the unit has failed yes.

If its for a lamp or fuse out no, if its faulty and still within warranty period yes.

It’s the full unit, from what the mechanic said it looks like water ingress

Update: it’s booked in for Wednesday to be investigated so fingers crossed it’s warranty related as it’s £182+vat for the part

I’m experiencing the same with my new RS. Just tried to turn the rear fog light for the first time (with lights and front fog lights turned on as well) and it doesn’t turn on, but no error shows on the dashboard.

Were you able to sort this out?
