Have Mountune Discontinued the M450 or M520???

Mountune UK use to claim 516 lb ft of torque from 4000-4700rpm for the old M520 kit with the EFR 7163 turbo. So this new adapter implies 616 lb ft (835Nm) of torque at 3000-3700rpm.

Will be interesting to see what the dyno looks like for this new adapter with the smaller efr 6758 turbo they use to offer with their M450 kit.

I’ve been looking at mountune stock and on their web site they don’t seem to have anything, not sure if this is a supplier issue or what?
would have expected some official statement from them otherwise customers will look elsewhere

The issue with the original m520 was is just the mapping that was crap , or was the combination of turbo and cams not great ???

The mapping was crap  the turbo and cams are actually pretty damn amazing tbf  not forgetting this is a much smaller turbo than say an NX2

to really take advantage of this set up you need to ditch the mountune boost pipes and intercooler and use better hardware add meth and it is a completly different ball park to what they offerd .

 

the new offering should see much faster response better mid range but as all twin scrolls do they choke up top so im super interested to see the results wont be long as i know someone who has this set up

No he’s got it wrong

there is a conversion kit going to be made available

still the same borgwarner efr 7163 but this time a twin scroll version with a slightly bigger AR

they are going to be supplying a conversion kit for old customers

Il have to double check what comes in the kit as I have been told but can’t remember , honestly if this works he way they say it will itl be a game changer for that set up so super interested to see what it does
