    Hi guys.

Has anyone changed the footwell lights on their RS?

if so could you show me pictures and how do you go about changing it, i’ve had a look and it doesnt look like a simple job to remove the old red lights.

    im thinking Ice white.

@R5-yyh- They are LED ones ,simply unplug old lamp and plug in new LED board-only problem is you cannot refit the light unit and are left with a Led circuit board tucked behind the hole where the lamp pushed in,your better to get festoon LED bulbs that will fit the lamp, don,t know how bright they would be.

I fitted the CEUK LED panel and took them straight out they got way too hot.

I fitted some 501 bulb holders with a home made bracket, I reused the wire from the panels and soldered them to the 501 holders they are so much better and bulbs are cheap if I want to change the colour.

You can get the LED panels from ebay for a couple of quid just to chop the cable off

The Blue LED plate can be stuck to the plastic lens cover of the existing lamp with double sided tape. Tuck the connector and wiring back behind the under dash cover. You cant see the LED plate without sticking head under dash

<span style=”-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);”>The blue or white LED panels do fit into the original lense. Not the best pic but you get the idea.
