Me again….
I’ve decided to probably go for a catback exhaust system (non res)……
I just want all your feedback out there as to the best exhaust system in terms of loud noise, and good pops and bangs….?
The four exhausts above in catback non res all sound awesome to be fair, I just can’t make up my mind and help/guidance would be very much appreciated.
A lot of people talk about the Miltek catback non res but not so much the others, could anyone shed any light? I’d be ever so grateful, not so much of a ‘car geek’ like many of you out there! 😀
Thank you!
Hi Fred , me again ? , at the end of the day it’s just a personal choice , you will find that the one you chose will be the right one for you . I did the same listened to people and heard them on the internet but they are never quite the same as hearing them for real . I originally chose the scorpion , but once hearing the miltek that was enough for me , pros and cons on them all , as said personal choice.
alright mate I have been researching this as well.
these are all views in my own opinion and all going by online videos bar one I have heard in real life ok guys.
HG Motorsport EGO-X Cat Back Exhaust= way to much crackles for me.
Norris Designs 3″ Half Exhaust System= just don’t like the look of it and cannot find a video for it.
Remus Cat Back Exhaust=I quite like this one would be my second choice.
cobra= a lot of spec choice just something about the sound cannot put my finger on it would probs be my 3rd choice.
Mountune Axle Back Exhaust= cannot stand this company would be my bottom of my list sounds fake like a lawnmower.
RSR Cat Back Exhaust System= gadz I hate the look of the tail pipes.
SVM 90mm Performance Catback System= it sounds really weird like to muffled.
Mongoose Cat Back Exhaust System= repeat word gadz tail pipes look cross eyed and so chav.
KMS Motorsport Tornado Catback Exhaust= sound ok just to much cracks for me seem false.
BD Performance Cat Back Exhaust= cannot find a video= looks well built but that cover things on the tail pipes what that about that alone puts me off.
Scorpion Cat-Back Exhaust System= really don’t like the design of this exhaust left tail pipe does not even go into the muffler.
Milltek Cat Back Exhaust= this is the one I would have sounds deep and not to much pops crackles bang etc but the resonated one is way to quite sounds standard to me so the non resonated one for me please.
now guys I know some of you have these exhausts and will take it a little to heart of my comments it just my view and everybody has there own style ok.
hope this helps you a bit on your decision @fredeng.
Thats great help mate thank you.
Everyone seems to recommend the Milltek, well it seems most talked about anyway.
Hadn’t done any research on your second choice as of yet (Remus) and wow yeh, I actually think it sounds great, but again may sound different in real life. I think it has a good roar….
yeah I only seen it today as well sounds impressive and good brand been on the go for years.
CobraSport – tomorrow morning ?
@fredeng the price, black tail pipes, deeper tone and ether going sports cat our full decat have not decided yet and would like to keep it all the same manufacture.

this is kind of the route but this is a piss video and he has the mountune shit as well that I will definitely will not be going on my motor.
I think the Remus exhaust sounds deeper and meaner in tone, maybe I’m mistaken. But yeh- why it’s very pricey I’m not so sure…. Haha not a fan of Mountune are you.
I like the cobra exhausts. I think the one you sent in the video for me personally seems too quiet, but personal preference!
I can get a bit of discount on the Remus for members but it is more expensive but made aboard it is always going to be a bit dearer.
Milltek no question. After hearing it, sold. Remus is for the inner 14 year old who likes annoying the neighbors. Most of the others sound like farting into a coffee tin.
Choosing exhausts is such a personal journey with so many variables, some as vague as ‘it just sounds right’.
After researching like you have, I have fitted full turbo back COBRA, non valved and resonated and am completely happy.
In normal mode it is a respectable grocery getter: in sport, with the loud pedal mashed – a head turner.
no regrets.
Iv had the milltek non res fitted for a week now and I love it, going from standard to this at first it seems really loud but after a day or two you get used to it.
if you leave it in normal it’s not that loud, stick it in sport and you get random pops & bangs, and the really good thing is no drone when you are cruising down the motorway.
