Mountune accessport unlock

just been browsing a well known auction site and see a couple of mountune accessports for sale

now I know mountune used lock their handsets

my question is will they now unlock them so they behave in the same manner as a cobb unit?

and if so how much would it cost?

I can’t see them doing it but would be nice if they could, I could use my m380 unit for other tuners then without having to go and buy another access point

So does this mean if you have a COBB V3 handset (not Mountune) you can down load the Mountune M400x map to it as their M400 handsets are unlocked??

hello have sung this song for a long time now mountune are a pill of pish get a twat like shmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to post the piss all for free and get the mass to spend spend while controlling the market out of stock!!!!!!!!!!!! can you imagine.

 

have been waiting all week for this actually called them today and was told £300 to unlock don’t even have anything mountune just was really interested in getting my facts right. before all the brand hoes start there shit I have this really good stuff until you mention cost then its every excuse under the table to justify spending £1000s on something that other company produce or half the price.

 

bit like the tractive dampers or what ever dsc box. I drive my car not the other way about so when I get in my rs all aids are off if I could turn off abs I would as well. so if I was in the market for a suspension setup there is to choices softer lux version or hard race version there is nothing in between one or the over.

 

seen a comment from bda the other day he is right everything modern now a days drive like turbo diesel. been driving race cars and working on them since I was 18 I am now 38. see the amount of piss that get thrown about nowadays between people that don’t have an understanding and company’s flogging shit. will stand by this DIY

You seem to have a Mountune coloured wasp in your ear. Why do they excite you soooo much, now before you go off on a rant I’m not defending M/tune just like to know why they upset you so much as it doesn’t seem normal.

If all these modern aids handicap you why didnt you go back to basics and get a 420R Caterham. They are raw powerful and have none of the aids you paid for, complain about and turn off. It really makes sense?

So at £300 to unlock a handset that I presume will lock itself to the next car is a bit of a risk

would be better off getting a 2nd hand cobb unit

I’ve just purchased a second hand access port with mountune across the top. I can access all parts but the maps. When trying to do maps it says acessport not working or something like

When Mountune announced the M400R they offered it for free to existing M400 users.  Included was the ‘unlocking’ software.  My Accessport now has the M400R, MSD420 and the MSD440 multimaps which includes Valet and Anti theft slots.  It’s an awesome piece of kit.
