very nice Ian !  were you not tempted to highlight the Mountune wording and stripes on your blue intakes? I would have to hand finish that after painting..

    !

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Ian, you dont paint the wording, you get something flat like a metal file, wrap some course emery paper round it and polish away the paint , then the Ali, gradually using finer grade until you get the finish you want.

The ECUs on these Mk3 RS are really quite locked down by Ford.

Normally changing intercoolers, airflow pipes, exhausts etc all add power but with this ECU they seem only to support the map to achieve its target and “not” to exceed that figure.

So if you have all the Stage2 supporting mods with an FPM375 kit you’ll still only get 375, but you’ll probably be able to achieve that all day long.

In a similar way if you have a 400bhp map and all the supporting mods you’ll still only be 400 but will be able to run that for a far greater time safely and without the car backing off the timing and boost to protect itself.

Also the supporting hardware does look pretty ??

very cool Ian ! Or should I say hot! The poor engine coolant radiator gets fed hot air through from the intercooler, oil cooler, air con radiator and somehow is expected to cool the coolant down, its a wonder these cars don’t run real hot all the time, or maybe they do ! Have you thought about radiator upgrade while all that lots being done?
