so  ihave had a  look at previous posts on mud flaps  on these forums

and i am interested in peoples experiences

    do i really need them?

do i get front and rear?

do i get the ford approved ones, or the ones mentioned in the shop, or even some cheapo ones on ebay?

or do i bite the bullet and go for Paint protection on the bumper and bonnet and sills

Not sure where your going to put those mud flaps but the paint protection film will help against stone chips on the bonnet and bumper and sill.

The mud flaps place properly will help stop all the road debris being flung up the sides of the car, if you fit wheel spacers they’ll help more so.

People seem to go for the Mountune, rally Armour or Rally Design

Their are some on this site in the shop

I wasn’t going to fit mudflaps but since it seems that every council in Yorkshire is intent on throwing tar and chippings on the damn roads, I think I will be fitting some! Spent a long Saturday getting epic amounts of tar off my car last week.

    NEW IN BLUE

Mountune Rally Armor Mud Flap Set Focus ST & RS
Add style while protecting the paint on your Focus ST or RS with exclusive mountune by Rally Armor Mud Flaps.

Designed for maximum utility with a rally fit to finish the look, durable urethane (UR) mud flaps are flexible and shock resistance. The Ford Focus flaps feature high tensile, tear-resistant and elastic properties unique to urethane. Whether vehicles are lowered or at stock ride height, polyurethane mud flaps consistently outperform their generic polyethylene and PVC plastics counterparts both in wear and impact resistance. Capable of handling high hot and sub-zero cold temperatures without compromising form, UR is ideal for ST and RS owners who seek premium quality and lasting protection.

The intelligent mounting system includes precision engineered brackets fabricated from rust-proof stainless and powder-coated steel. Through a combination of custom injection molded form-fitted plastic spacers to foam tabs and corresponding brackets, the application offers flush fitment for discerning Focus owners who seek clean contour lines. In addition to filling in the voids within the fender wells, the installation was carefully designed to meet the needs and preferences of drivers who prefer minimal alterations to the liners and slotted mounting holes for adjustability. With over 12 years of experience as a leading manufacturer, this application is a testament to why Rally Armor has become the trusted resource for mud flaps. Each Rally Armor UR mud flap set for the Focus ST and RS includes 4 UR mud flaps for all 4 corners of the vehicle, mounting instructions, brackets and hardware.

I’m tempted to get those blue mountune ones.  They look great.
