I still really rate the tyres it came on, the super sports. I think alot of people have problems with the veering steering with them though but I love them.
I’ve just put rainsport 5’s on the front of mines. Had them on my modified fiesta st and they were unbelievable for handling, not had the opportunity to fully test them on the Rs. Great for the price
I changed to ps4s’ when the originals wore down. Didn’t have alot of veering steering but did notice from time to time. Never noticed it after changing the tyres. Ps4s’ are really good tyres, got mine on offer so per tyre only worked out something like £15 more than falkens

original tyres are great all rounders.
they def need lower pressures than the recommended ones.
having said that I’m going to try Nankang NS-2R In the summer.
pressure range is 34-42 because of a very stiff sidewall
They totally transformed my MX5 last year.
I did put a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta on my old Subaru STI a few years ago and I’d be very tempted to try a set on the RS when they need replacing.
