hi please correct me if I am wrong

I am looking at buying mountune catback exhaust , so far there is V3 and V3X valveless , so without valve the car will keep making pop sound even in normal mode ? And gas flow from both side instead of one ? What is the real purpose please some one explain

I think the V3 will sound the same when flap is open. but you will be able to “reduce” the noise.

This opportunity will not be found with the valveless V3X… so loud noise only maybe?

Btw. what is normal mode? I only have sports or track and drift… never heard of normal mode in a RS? *joking*

Or do you mean this “normal mode” when unlocking car for the cold start before smashing in the sports mode before drive off? 😀

Ford Focus RS / frozen white / fifteen52 tarmac / lowering springs kw / milltek exhaust / exhaust valve deleter / K&N airfilter / Maxton rear upper spoiler / Mishimoto oil cooler / Auto specialist 40% short shifter /

Haha I use normal to get the car warmed up before going into sports or track , Even at normal mode start up , the car is loud , I kinda want a slight louder exhaust to give the RS a more aggressive approach , it’s suppose to be a rally car

    Hi Hanz

If you are based in Christchurch I’d be happy to pop round so you can hear the v3 before you buy. It is always loud on start up because the valve is open until it warms up. I run with the valve open all the time and think it is about right, quieter at low revs but aggressive when you cut it loose.

Ps got the FSA to replace the gasket today, so they must have some stock of gaskets and heads in NZ.

with the std exhaust, it sounds quieter WITH the valve delete ( left pipe open all the time) on cold start. It actually sounds noisier and better for the first 30 seconds or so as std with the valve closed and left pipe SHUT. It seems with both pipes open there is not enough gas flow to make it sound as good as it does coming out of only the right pipe on cold start.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

I contacted Avon city ford two days ago , they haven’t got any updates on the 17B32 FSA yet , but I am close contact with the service tech guy , so they will let me know ASAP , I definitely wanna do the HG first before I jump into the M380 kit
