This is the option on mapping I’ve decided to take once I’ve completed 500 miles of running in. Anyone had any experience of this option? A bonus is they actually publish their figures , so all’s good.

As per title this conversion takes the stock Ford Focus RS from 323-327Hp and 340Lbft AS MEASURED ON OUR ROLLING ROAD to between 415-425Hp and 420LbFt. It comes with a Cobb Access Port and a custom ND map tweaked after hundreds of runs and thousands of test miles.

All the hardware I have already via Mountune.

Really makes the car come alive with some extra exhaust note too but retains stock driveability.

Widens the power curve as well and making more peak HP and Torque.

    Stock Figures: 323-327HP & 340LbFt

    ND420 Figures: 415-425HP & 430LbFt

    A.  Whiters2  after doing a few miles in his new Focus with a ND wild map with extreme ignition timing and boost !!

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Based purely on gut instinct and a belief of how much thorough testing is done my mapping exploits will remain with either Mountune or Revo. Both offer a 400+ solution.  Sorry but I’ll stick with the big boys.

The cost is similar to the Mountune 400 and also the hardware, but once removed like all COBB devices no trace; whereas the Mountune 400 leaves a tag for Ford Service to see. Over the last 12 months I purchased all the hardware for my previous RS which on trade in I removed as it added ZERO value to the car from a Ford Dealer perspective.

I would also advise this, as a just in case. I also fitted this to my previous –

COBB Access Ports will let always a tag too, it will reset the Ignition Counter to Zero.
This told me the COBB Support and some other owners.
I guess if its a HW thing, the ND Maps will also set the IC to Zero?

Just the DS shouldn’t reset the Ignition Counter as far as i know.

Yes they’d probably would fit it, but then they would probably void your engine warranty for next time even thou its only a preventative/strengthening measure and not a performance item.

    @Crocket81.

I spoke with the Service Manager at my local Ford dealer about the Norris Desings Block brace and if they’d fit it to my Engine while doing the HG Recall and they point blank said NO!! The warranty would be void and they couldn’t guarantee their work fitting the brace as it’s not a Ford part. Did you get the same answer??

    Cheers, Marc.
