Carrying on from the Blakey thread anyone fancy a good run out over the North Yorkshire Moors. I’ve had a couple of run outs already this year with some pals from the North East, I’m planning on doing the same route.
Meeting point Eden Camp Museum Malton YO17 6RT @09.30AM.
Start at Eden camp then drive the following route,
Malton>Pickering>Hutton le Hole>Blakey>Danby>Sandsend>Whitby>Scarborough>Malton
It’s a good run out especially over Blakey Ridge up to Danby. We normally stop in the Whitby Abbey car park which overlooks Whitby to have lunch in the car park or a walk into Whitby (5-10 mins) for Fish and Chips. Then a drive to Scarborough, catch some fresh air on North Marine drive, then head back on the A64 towards Malton to finish off. There are Shell stations in Pickering and Staxton (Scarbough) for anyone that will need fuel.
Let me know if you’re interested, flexible with start time.
Cheers,
Daz
