Main ingredients:
forged 2.0L block,
OEM head with Ford Performance camshafts,
Garrett G25-550 turbo / AR 0.72 / internal wastegate,
Nutron Pro Moto Bosch HDP 5 HPFP mod,
MoTeC M142 ECU.
Goals for the project:
generate safe and reliable 500+ HP (at crank),
to have a big turbo which kicks in as low as possible RPM at,
to have a max boost not higher than OEM turbo – 1.6 bar / 23.2 PSI,
no secondary fuel injector, no meth “helpers”.
Results:
Just look at dyno graph screenshot. 3 different runs. All runs are well described there.
Car is absolutely autoX weapon. Turbo kicks just 100 RPM later than OEM one! Useful RPM range is so wide. And all this at so low, safe boost level. Beautifully executed.
To clarify:
PB98 = 93 Octans,
E35 / E55 – 35% / 55% ethanol blend,
Torque measured in Nm – divide by 1.356 to get ft/lbs numbers,
1.6 bar = 23.2 PSI,
HP measured at crank, not WHP.
