Me too. 99 octane in high performance engines. Especially turbocharged ones.

I use Tesco 99. There’s nothing wrong with Tesco 95 but You (probably) get more bang for your buck.

Tried Shell normal and Super, there was no difference in performance or mpg.

I do Shell V but only cos you lot said too 🙂

I have no idea what is the best fuel as didn’t go to school but if it costs more then I’m on a winner surely.

Have browsed quite a few forums re the original thread:

The consensus seems to be that Momentum maybe a nats whisker better than V Power if ultimate performance is your tankful – whilst V Power maybe the better of the two at keeping your engine clean.

Obviously Momentum is better on the wallet.

Shell V for me. My local only 1/2 mile away and been using the garage for 5 years now. Don’t mind paying £1.28 p/l as Shell points plus 100 bonus points each time.

Dropped back to 95, normally from Tesco, doesn’t seem any loss, actually got slightly better mpg that 99 !! …  Running FPM375 as well.

Doesn’t seem worth the extra expense.
