From Oceanside there was an Acura CL and Civic that seems we caught their attention.
My nephew and I were already on the fast lane and following flow of traffic (avg. 80 mph.)
Once we past Camp Pendelton they went to the slow lane and blew past us, OK we can do a little game of tag.
We noticed once we hit 110-115 mph. the two other cars can’t keep up (1/4 mile gap?). It was not worth it as they are maxed out, so my nephew and I went back to the fast lane and follow the flow of traffic.
By the time we are a Mission Viejo, both of our Valentine 1 had a Ka. We slowed down (65 mph) flash our hazards, the two Hondas had caught up and slowed down. Long and behold there’s a couple of CHP on the on ramp already caught a car.
My nephew and I both agreed the road is full of fuzz and most likely they know that there is a car event. We figured the Hondas are going to the same spot.(Formula D Car meet in Long Beach March 27th, last Sunday).
By the time we are at the I-405 in Costa Mesa the two Hondas were on the fast lane and we are on the next lane.
Ka braaped on our V1, so we are already on the flow of traffic, tap the brakes flash the hazard.
Seems the Hondas had a different plan in mind.
“Lets pass this blue and gray car from the slow lane show them what’s what!”:
