    Hi All,

Saw a fellow RS driver on the road and under breaking the rear fog light flashed, like the F1 cars in the wet. It looked awesome! Any ideas on how he/she achieved this!?

    Cheers

Did it just flash or stay on at the same time as the other brake lights?

Dynamic brake light if I’m not mistaken, activated under hard breaking to avoid rear ending

Lots of car have this although it’s normally the hazzard lights that flash, nice the RS is different

Flashed under breaking whilst the main brake lights were illuminated. Didn’t seem under heavy braking but I was some distance away from him so cannot be 100% sure.

Would be good to find a way to get it working under normal braking conditions!

Some time ago a chap on the ‘other’ forum was working on this idea, maybe he succeeded in the end, not sure if its 100% legal though.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Just an update, ran a few tests on this last night (on a lively trip home!). Dynamic braking conditions kick in under heavy breaking and the brake lights pulsate, however, the rear fog light does not come on.

So it may be down to a sending signal input from the brakes to the rear fog light. I have spoken to an ex employee at Ford and he will see who he can contact to see how this can be done.

I was told on test drive when I predetermined  in June 2016 (picked up April 2017) that was a standard feature of the RS when breaking hard and suddenly.

    Hi all,

When the RS is in track mode the brake lights do this automatically from my experience.

    @kenny

Any chance they can do a F1 brake light video at dusk or night, as erm ………. lights work better in the dark. In the same way the sequential indicators video shot in day light what was the point. Anyway, any chance of the same but at night please ?
