For what its worth if you can afford it I would keep it and try again in the spring, this time of year is not good for a private sale. If you don’t have to don’t give RS Direct a cash cow you should be the one who gets the benefit of keeping the miles low and looking after it.
We signed up for a Mini Cooper sport last Wednesday, WE Buy ANY Car valuation on our 2016 66 plate Cooper s was £10000, we paid £20500 three years ago as an ex demonstrator, car specked as new was £26000. The new car is again an ex demonstrator with 1300 miles being a July 31st reg 19 plate. Bearing in mind WBAC have increased the £10000 6 weeks ago to today £10350. The Mini dealer is allowing us £11500 and the whole visit was over in under a hour. They will have our Mini up for £13995 it has 17000 on the clock and is in excellent condition. Dealer’s have huge overheads and RS Direct can sit on a car until they get their desired price.
