    Going to change the spark plugs on the car to see if it cures the intermittent cold start misfire. Not going one step cooler because the car is just standard at the moment but I have seen on a website that there are plugs for construction to 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 and the only difference is the electrode gap is 0.1 out. Does anyone know why there is a difference?

    @P90PC

    Prior to be stating swapping plugs, is all well on the head gasket front.

    Was the recall completed if required. Misfire can be a classic indicator of this issue.

    If under warranty still,suggest letting the ford techies run diagnostics first

    Hope its a simple fix and you get the smiles per miles of RS ownership.

    May the Ford be with you

    Yup head gasket recall had been done or potentially new engine fitted in 26/3/2018. Need to do more digging to find out.

    This may not be related but I had my second head gasket fitted the other week and was told the timing was out .  Mine was always a bit lumpy on cold start but now seems a lot better.

    @webby, pleased for you that the second head gasket has been done. Hope that it’s all ok from now on ?
