    Hello everyone

    Question maybe for anyone running a second set of wheels, have you fitted TPMS on them and if so do you need one per wheel or only one per wheel set? Obviously one per wheel is best but wonder if you only need one to keep cars computer happy?

    I’m guessing running a set of after market wheels with no sensors will light up the dashboard with warning lights so you must still fit TPMS to all wheels?

    Any advice or comments welcome.

    I have a second set with a full set of TPMS’s, To be honest I think it could be an offence to not have them if the car was originally fitted, this was a legal requirement after a certain date round about 2014. And not sure but maybe an MOT fail as well, but not 100% sure about that.

    Thanks coastliner for the quick reply, I think your right about the MOT point so will get 4 to be legal.

    Just of of interest, did you get Ford TPMS or another brand?

    Hi. It only need one of  the senders to be faulty or missing for the system to notice. But it’s no big deal.  when the warning comes on after about ten minutes you just press “ok” and get the normal dash back.

    @777Ham

    I got the Ford ones but the second set are a better quality than the ones on my original forged alloy wheel set. The second set have a metal stem over the rubber on the originals. My mate ordered them through his garage.

    It annoys me that these sensors actually measure the pressure but Ford just  use parameters or limits instead of accurate information
