    After two years of having the Tractive suspension stuffed under the spare bed, fitted in a day. Top job by Henry Morley.

    Gave it a day to settle then trim the ride height.

    Absolute transformation from the OE suspension.

    Ok, I’m a daily driver, knocking on 30k. For me, this expensive upgrade has just made me smile even more. Had the geometry checked at work on the Hunter, not bad for a full suspension change.

    Looking good. How does the system work? Excuse my lack of knowledge on fancy suspension components here ?

    Awesome on the road and awesome on the track ?

    A very good compromise of road and track setup, not full race with rose joints and nylon bushes but a cracking setup. ??

    Giving both comfort on route to a track (or shops) and when you take to the track the Performance of these dampers hits another level.

    You can probably get a full race damper kit which would be around the same money such as Ohlins; then it’ll be awesome on track and not so on the journey to it or going down the shops with the Mrs

    The Tractive RT kit hits the sweet spot for a GT car setup ???

    It uses the DSC suspension module to control the dampers.  You replace the OEM springs and dampers with the Tractive ones.  These are purpose designed with far better electronic valving that is much faster response and wider range than the OEM or KW versions.  They are controlled by the maps in the DSC, which you can tune and tweak as you want.  The result is you get a major improvement in ride and comfort, while still having a great handling car. The dampers/maps gives you best of both worlds as you changing driving modes.

    There are more track biased versions with camber plates and rose jointed, but I’d suggest they would be too much (harsh) for the road.

    Any questions please feel free to mail me……

    Sounds very impressive. Not looking to change my suspension set up at present. Currently fitting a YB turbo in my MK2 escort so all my spare cash is getting eaten up by that haha

    Maybe one day though ?

    @NeilRS2k

    youve started on a right money pit their Cosworth YB turbo engine then  a WCXM (-1.5 degrees) & mounts then a bigger tunnel for the T5 then an oversized propshslft custom made to suit the T5 and Atlas back end, then the atlas back end LSD & 5 linked and slipper springs and don’t forget the turreted rear dampers. Then theirs the HP fuel system and over axle 12 gallon fuel tank, then the custom RS500 style water radiator and big intercooler which may need water injection to help out on engine temps on track, then theirs the brakes then theirs 15” wheels then theirs a full cage and harnesses as you don’t feel safe at 150mph in a Mk2 Escort, with a steel spear as a steering column

    Enjoy as it’s all worth it ????

    @White-RS2

    Bought the whole lot 2 years ago as a ‘complete package’ including radiator and Intercooler, T5 box, t34 turbo, bd10 cams in a 4×4 head, full custom stainless exhaust system. Was all in a MK1 escort previously and running 330bhp which is more than enough for a MK2 escort!

    Fabricated the new tunnel (well my dad did haha) world cup cross member fitted and trimmed lip for sump clearance. New heavy duty steering rack. Engine is in and cranked over off the key. Need to sort out all the plumbing for cooling system and get everything running now.

    The complete package turned out to be incomplete with a few sensors missing which I have had to purchase and nothing is cheap but enjoying the challenge. My dad hasn’t done a YB conversion before so it’s new to both of us.

    Can’t wait until it’s back on the road ?

    Oh and don’t forget (unless you’ve done them) those small triangular gussets that connect you chassis rail to your bulk head ? .

    Also if you fit your 4 link bar boxes about 30mm lower you’ll still get all rear seats & trim back in which gives a stealth standard car look ?
