Excuse my ignorance, but why only Brembo calipers on the front and non Brembo on the rear thanks in advance

I could well stand corrected but I believe the rears are still developed by Brembo, they are just not branded like the fronts

thepmp could be right, I’m not sure, but even if he’s not, most of the braking effort is done by the front brakes.  If you’re Ford developing a car to a set budget, you get most performance for your money by spending on the front brakes.

Most of the braking is done by the front, so the front calipers are much more important.

The rears are the same Ford caliper as the ST, just sometimes painted blue and with a harder compound pad.

These were in the Ford parts bin already so its a cost Vs performance issue for the design engineers and accountants.

Cost, plain and simple. The rears are ATE calipers, straight from the Focus ST (with solid rotors).

Front Brembos at 2000miles/ 6months Pleasantly surprised that they havn’t gone all rusty and crap looking as they are so exposed with the forged rims.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Would cost a whole lot more to incoperate parkbrake mechanism. Would require inboard shoes or 2nd caliper as per supercars. As they are there fine. Would just require better pads and fluid for frequent track use.
