I know my disk lock is solely used as a visual deterrent. Hopefully stopping any opportunist tea leaf from attempting to steal it. I know a more determined one will have it away easy.  Would have to have some balls to make that much noise in the dead of night.

To be fair guys disklok, did come out fairly good. And as said not many toe rags carry an angle grinder in their back pocket.

Yes you are quite right, they would be very serious about getting your car if they thought using a grinder, and not drawing attention to the noise.
