Two Rare Ford Focus RS50 EVOs Sold at Auction
Private collectors buy unique models for over £83,000 each
Two performance car fans have taken a unique opportunity to buy a Ford Focus RS50 EVO. Both vehicles sold at auction for over £83,000 each.
TrustFord, the world’s largest dedicated Ford dealer group, was granted exclusive UK sales rights by Ford for the two white RS50 EVOs. They were the only ones of their kind to be made publicly available.
Ford RS special editions have consistently proven their appeal amongst fans and collectors. The Evocation (EVO) range was created by Ford to celebrate 50 years of the RS range, and is the ultimate evolution of the 2017/18 RS editions.
In order to ensure they were sold to true fans, the dealer network ran an application process for prospective buyers prior to auction.
Stuart Foulds, Chairman and Chief Executive of TrustFord, said: “TrustFord is hugely proud to be responsible for the sale of these vehicles, the bespoke and exclusive nature of which is reflected in their price. We are committed to driving the standard in customer care – whether that be for the buyer of a unique performance vehicle or a classic family car.”
Ford commissioned tuning brand, Mountune, to develop the ultimate examples of the Mk3 Focus RS. The vehicles boast the ultimate upgrade package, including: sports exhaust, alloy intercooler, carbon fibre rear spoiler lip, vented bonnet and Chassis features such as lowered sport suspension and lightweight breaks.
The vehicles were sold at an online auction on Friday 8th February, managed by BCA. The buyers are both private collectors, and will collect their vehicles from their local TrustFord dealerships within the next few weeks.
