I see from the NEC Autosport article that Bilstein are developing a kit for the MK 3. Do you happen to know what the timescale is?

They did say a few months, I would think summer.

Bilstein have a kit available that doesn’t work with the adjustable damping controls so wanted to go the full hog and do it properly. Sure this kit will be top notch when you see the reviews of their GTR kit

I have Bilstein shocks and springs on my MK2. Brilliant…..will be investing in a full set on my MK3 when they arrive.

I had Bilstein coilovers on my R34 GTR and they were brilliant. Really comfortable just driving around but they were superb when hammering it through the twisties too.

Just take a view in your thread and this sounds interessting.

Lets see if this coilover will be avaiable and street legal in Switzerland.

I am thinking about how to lower my Focus RS as soon as I got it… counting days -9 now …

I do not wanna put in a full KW coilover or whatever and lose the adjustable dampers or what is your opinion? Maybe just put lowering springs in it then….

Yes it would be a shame to lose the internal controls. Bilstein system will be top quality but expensive. Lowering springs will be a good temporary fix giving you the best of both worlds, lowered car and maintain controls.

I can’t understand why anyone would want adjustable fixed rate shocks on a coilover or strut replacement set up. The Idea is you set it to how you want it not how the manufacture thinks it should be set at .

The harder track settings on the RS are laughable

As an information which I see in the german Focus RS threads there will be also a coil over with more than 1 setup be from KW Suspensions. They replied on a request from an user there with a positiv Feedback. But there is also no time and datas or prices known yet.

I bought the ST lowering springs for less money now and wait for any updates. Should I see some more informations in other threads at Germany or Switzerland I will let you know.

Not going to happen, bilstein has decided not to develop anything for the mk3 RS. They where quoted saying that on focusrs.org

I’d speculate they took too long and now the market has plenty of options so they missed the boat and isn’t worth the investment for a smaller slice of the cake.
