I think Kenny has it just right here, he just lets us all get on with it and only really has a quiet word in  your ear if you really take  the piss ( like a certain few ex and not too recent members have done), the members on here all seem a good laugh, can take the banter and ribbing and do not take the whole thing too seriously, which is good. The ‘other’ forum, apart from a few normal happy-go-lucky lads,  seems to be frequented by staid, miserable, chip-on -the shoulder “I’ve had Focus RS’s longer than you so I know better” sort of attitude, and there is no sense of joy or happiness on there at all, its really depressing infact! Its like treading on glass when you make a comment or post something, someone always takes offence and then the ‘in crowd’ join in for the kill!

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

We are adults here so I try not to intervene too much. Not sure what the other forum is like but end of the day we all have the same love for Fast Fords so we should get along 🙂

Been lucky from 7000+ members only to have had a few quiet words required. I have been parts of forums where I think moderators take it too far but if you feel I need to step in more just let me know.

I’m active on both and was a member for years on the other sites sister forum for the ST.  Gotta say I do prefer Kenny’s way of doing things and generally visit the other site for more in depth technical enquiries and well as the fact one of my mates is the main parts advisor for them.  But generally enjoy here alot better cos of the more “family feel” (its smaller) and the non elitist attitude here – we all own an RS at the end of the day so no one is better than the other!

interesting discussion, I joined both forums. On the other forum I oCcasionally  read but have never posted, it feels almost angry sometimes. Much more supportive, helpful and enjoyable over on this side even though we can all get annoyed, frustrated or carried away sometimes.

May the Ford be with you

The little ‘clique’ high echelon of mightier than though moderators on there really think they are some kind of gods, little Hitlers  I think ! Soul-less and a cold place to be.

I like this forum as everyone just has a bit of fun with a love of their RS. Never looked at the other RS forum, why do I need too, this one is great.

Well done Kenny in running it in a way that allows members to say what they feel and not be bound by silly rules and moderators. Yes there is a line which we shouldn’t cross and hopefully we are all able to judge where that is.

Must agree, not keen on the other forum but spend to much time looking at this one. Perhaps I should start listening to the trouble and strife when she says ” get a job!”

This is a wonderful forum! Did I mention the classy layout, the effective text editor and the easy upload already? I learned so much from educated experts and got quite a few good advice from likeable gentlemen. Thank you so much Kenny for your daily effort!

And yes, Mike, I feel in good hands here and I like the occasional banter – even as a sometimes talkative bragger from Switzerland, innit 😉
