It’s difficult to judge although interior looks unworn he spends quite a lot of time showing the interior a good sign. I do like white as a colour for the RS wheels look good and no great build up of rust on disc’s a sign it’s fresh onto the dealership. I would ask if I could view it on a ramp to look for any signs of an oil leak and looking underneath can reveal many things. But it does look ok.

thanks for that I will tell him, I think he is swayed by the one owner and sold and always serviced there
he has looked at some rough ones , on the face of it it seems good value and he says a ford approved warranty for 24 months
and the next two services
Is this still for sale?
yes jason (if you are talking about the original ad that is)

hi,
I’m a new member and of the more vintage age and i’m looking to return to the ford fold having purchased a new 2016 nitrous blue rs in may 2016 when they were first launched.
I’m enquiring if the rs mentioned in the opening of this topic at a mileage of 10,186 is still for sale.
many thanks
Derek
D T , welcome to the forum have you had your HG done & is she of low mileage , just wondering if your keeping yours selling or adding another one to the fold , JOINING the exclusive club then fair play , if I had the space I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another RS , get mexicoian to send you a pic of his great Quad of RSs , good luck anyway 👍👍👍.
Sorry i should have made it clearer that the 2016 nitrous was sold in 2018 and replaced with a red edition purchased at T.C Harrisons, Derby and this was sold in 2020 just before the chip problem developed with the subsequent increase in 2nd hand car prices. Good timing.
went over to a m340i touring that whilst it does everything really well, it is just too efficient and there is no drama which I suppose is what the 3 series is designed to do apart form the pure “M” models. The m340i is a keeper and the rs will be a sort of retirement present aiming to keep it long after the last petrol engine is manufactured for the uk market at the end of this century.
👍👍👍
Yeah and what’s the likelihood of getting a totally untouched RS today , as all have stated market flooded with them at moment, would be really lucky to find a low mileage none frapped engine and in totally mint condition today , but I’m sure there’s some out there , but with very reluctant owners willing to part . 👍👍🤞
as per advert, ours is low mileage, (10K) fresh MOT, NO mods whatsoever, non smoker, still as “tight” as when it left the dealership, and in lovely condition. there could be some movement on price, however if you want pics /details then pm me your email address
and this is hardly used, start it every week, drive it around 10 miles, then back in the garage or on the drive, car is taxed and insured therefore bit of an expensive ornament (it does live next to an Escort Cosworth which will be up for sale later this year)

Sounds like a nice motor. Surprised it hasn’t sold as yet.
Any details on the Escort Cosworth that will be up for sale later in the year? Year, mileage, colour mods etc? May be interested (just don’t tell the my wife🤔)

hi graham,
I’m very interested and its certainly fits all my requirements, even with the subwoofer being an audio nut. The sticking point as always is the price and how much movement there is. I ghost tested a 2016 and 2017 rs model with 10k mileage on “we buy any car” and the 2016 was close to 23k whilst the 2017 was close to 26k. Acknowledging that there are regional differences with this selling platform at least it provides some indication of the market at the moment.
I would only be able to offer a few thousand on top of the we buy any car valuations which I think is a reasonable offer and others on this post have commented that the price is a bit heavy but of course, it boils down to the sticky situation of my valuation against what you believe its worth.
I may push a bit more if you have some additional photos but I feel we may be too far apart which is such a shame as its exactly what I’m looking for.
my email address is dtighe@munichre.com.
The stark facts is you have to pay a premium for a low mileage mint car with a good history, there is a lot of rubbish for sale some with multiple owners and been modified to extreme limits. Not many genuine cars, mine is an 11000 miles car one owner and I would value it at very close to £30K the £23K valuation on a low mileage car is way off. The only issue is at the moment there is a vast choice, once the amount for sale normalises the prices will go up. My advice is stick to your guns unless you need desperately to sell.

agreed, we are the second owners (first owner had it for 9 months and we have owned it since, never modified or driven hard, and whoever purchases (eventually one way or another) will never have the issue of wondering what mods were done, and how to get it rectified, ah well, its not doing harm sat in the garage.
Turbo tone- the escort Cosworth will be up for sale at some point later this year, its a big turbo radiant red, leather interior, 72,000 miles, however the FRS is the priority to sell first
