2017 Nitrous Blue RS which I bought new in September 2017 with the extended warranty which ends September this year.
It has only done just less than 4000 –  yes less than four thousand miles  at 3800 – and has a full service history plus head gasket recall carried out by Jackson Ford Henley in Arden who are 65 miles from me but experts in the RS. They also installed the mountune 375 warranty friendly upgrade. The car has every extra possible including a sun roof. The paintwork was gyeon ceramic coated from new at a cost of £750.

Seats are shell, wheels are forged and other extras fitted by me are :
    Carbon gear knob
Carbon inserts on fascia, steering wheel and instrument pod.
Maxton gloss black side skirts and rear spats.
    Rear diffuser in nitrous Blue.
Red LEDs x 2 in boot.
    Stainless RS left foot rest.
Stainless rear RS door scuff panels.
    Gel inserts in rear spoiler.
    Maxton rear spoiler extension.
Carbon RS badges to replace ford front and rear.
    Stainless under bonnet plates.
    Bonnet lift struts.
Carbon battery cover, fuse cover and header tank.
    Fog light inserts.
Spare forged wheel and tyre as spare, with Jack and lifting block.
    Dummy OBC wired in.
Blue RS rubber inserts in doors, cubby, armrest storage etc 12 pieces.
    Diff cooler.
12.5 mm front and rear wheel spacers.

Just sold my Rs after 6 years, low mileage fully loaded fpm375. It was mint and the person who bought has confirmed post sale that he had got a bargain.

Had to sell as my diabetic neuropathy ,particularly in left foot made driving a manual car painfully and tedious, also roads in Bucks full of pot holes, no enjoyment trying to avoid them.

Was spending 1 k a year to keep in a garage.

I small selling my low mileage fully loaded mk4 st estate in orange fury in 2 months for same reason,

Going to a buy a Tiguan type r all wheel drive ( be it haldex, better than nothing) mainly for build quality and the dsg auto box.

It’s a shame ford only offer the kuga now in hybrid format.

I’ve had 6 good years but it’s time to move on

    @Grumpy pappa

What a shame you have had to sell your RS, we all don’t know for any certainty what the market will do in the next 5 years. My best guess and it’s only a guess is that anything special/manual/ and limited in numbers will rocket in value. You look through dealer and manufacturer specs now and everything is auto box ordering a new manual is getting difficult and won’t get any easier.

So for those of us that don’t have to sell my advice is stick with your car as long as you can, I could be wrong but for all those who have recently sold will be regretting selling big style.

@Grumpy, I have to agree with @coastliner, going forward there will not be anything like the RS and it will only become more sort after. I just wish I could have been able to keep mine but like you health issues meant it had to go to a good home. Wish all the best for the future. Don’t be a stranger stay on here your input has someone who’s owned one will always be helpful.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hi coast and bobcat, many thanks for your comments.</p>
I did think about keeping, but it was a pain to have to go for servicing 80 miles away as it was a trusted garage who have looked after the RS and st for last 3 years, and had to use a day’s holiday to do so, plus spend 5 hours in traffic on m25.

I was always also dreading a head gasket problem being found,Plus spending £1000 a year to keep it, in 5 years would I get the 5 k back.

I got £30800, which was £1200 below what I was asking, but also didn’t want loads of tyre kickers wasting my time.

I will keep on the forum and inform about my new car due in august.

A good price and I am sure it was worth every penny.
