    https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/volkswagen/golf-r/first-drives/volkswagen-golf-r-performance-pack-2018-uk-review. This is 2nd-hand M4 money?!? I’ve seen a two-year-old M4 for £40k, honestly I’m tempted.

nah Ian, it just looks sooo bland !! ok if you live around Birmingham I suppose?

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

A BMW M4 seems a much better option

    RS Edition.

    FPM375 Rocks

The rest of the “M” maps suck

I would take an M3 over this any day.

The R just isn’t exclusive at all, I see as many R’s and bog standard diesels. I think VW messed up with all them cheap lease deals, it must impact residuals.

Tempted to pick up a couple of year old Golf R to replaces the wife’s A3 184 TDI…(Which is even more boring even if it very capable and well built)

Those “upgrades” don’t seem worth it though.   A Revo remap makes much more sense 🙂

Magnetic Grey with all the best bits

FPM375/COBB/MSD-  Quaife LSD,  DSC+Tractive  Suspension,  HJS200 cell sports cat and MT Cooler. Sync3 upgrade.

Was UK seller for DSC & Tractive  Active suspension !!!

44k for a golf R that doesn’t make anymore power?

They do no the new base spec M2 competition is going to be less than 50k as well right?

If I wanted something a bit more sporty looking than a normal Golf R but with the same practicality and standard of interior, I would just go off and get a one year old RS3!

Wow that is serious wedge for a Golf.

£10k+ more than an RS and less fun IMO

I’d rather drive an old Fiat than a VW/Audi !!
