    I’m on the brink of trading in my X5 for a Frozen White RS (well it is another 5 door 4×4 family car after all :p)

    I’m looking at a 2016 car with some Collins Performance goodies attached. Hope it’s as good as expected. Been assured that recalls have been carried out and that the CP map wont affect any warranty.

    Never had an RS before, my only other ‘fast Fords’ were XR2’s back in the day (LVX 415Y and D842 RSL).

    I’m hoping that the Focus doesn’t rob me of any spare cash I have to lavish on my other dream machine, my beloved T5 fun bus!

    Cheers

    Andy

    welcome. great choice of colour ( the best!)  pretty sure if you have any issues with the engine/drivetrain and the dealer finds out its modified in any way other than approved stuff like mountune fpm375, then warranty is void.

    No nothing.

    No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

    Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

    @l111cht

    Morning mate!! Another possible Frozen White in Scotland!! ??????????????. Nice!! ?.

    I must agree with @71-bda – The only warranty friendly mods are specific Mountune ones, and for mapping it’s the Mountune 375. Apart from that it’ll not be warranty friendly mate!!

    Cheers, Marc.

    Are you buying from a Ford dealer as I would be way about your aftermarket mods not affecting your warranty.

    Where are you based?

    It’s not from a Ford garage, but a sports car specialist, and I’ve emailed Collins Performance with the reg details and asked them for a run down on the work they have done for a bit of peace of mind. Surely if they stand by their work they will be in touch. I’m just outside Arbroath Kenny.
