After a road trip of ~2hrs, I parked and once I started the engine again after 15 mins, the module never came up. I took it to the official Ford service (in Argentina) and they did not know what to do. They just said it didn’t respond to the scanner tool.
I know it’s the APIM and nothing else, as I tried other modules like Ford Fiesta (plugging fewer cables only), SYNC 2 module, and audio system works, reverse camera works, etc.
I ended up purchasing a used APIM module, which also brought the FDIM (screen). I swap my screen with that ‘new’ screen’ and my screen also works.
So it’s the APIM module.
What could I try to test it?
I connected ForScan and it is able to read and write AS BUILT values from it, even if it’s not on (screen is black).
I tried to search for ways to ‘re-flash’ binary files, but I did not find any reference whether that is possible or not.
