It saves the stock map the first time you plug it in and stores it on the handset so it can be returned to stock anytime.

I have just bought a second hand dreamscience imap.

been out in it to day ,standard car part from K&N filter.17 plate with 1230 on clock

Had a dust up with a very modded mk2 ST, my …first time I.ll give it some real stick red line , in 2 / 3 / 4 gear.

    on country roads.

then later loaded  dreamscience imap ultimate map. Took out again …as people say ? ..”……my lad when with me

he was holding on tight. Said what the f**k have you done to the car . Way quicker then befor

i must agree ?     And I get to put it back to standed if I needed to

Does anyone know peak power figures for the Ultima map over the 99+?

Information on this seems pretty scarce TBH.

Interesting! I didn’t realise that. I’ve found their documentation on this a little ambiguous.

Probably been asked before but does this leave a trace in the ecu if flashed back to standard?

Don’t know about whether the Dreamscience maps leave a trace, but there’s a confirm case on the RS owners forum of someone having a warranty claim for a blown engine refused because a trace of a Mountune map was found. Be careful out there!

I’ve spoken to dream science this morning and they have said it doesn’t leave a trace and warranty will be fine, ordered it anyway, cheap at £445

I think ford would still be able to trace the map if you took it in for warranty repair if they done a bit of digging

agree with RSDave, I’m pretty sure there is a count on how many times the ECU has been flashed  ooh Aunty.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

I think what DS are saying is that Ford can’t tell what the map was, but they can certainly tell it’s been flashed. I don’t know the techy side too well, but a Ford service manager told me there’s a data logger component in or attached to the ECU that records such things. This is why some are saying don’t remove a map if you need engine warranty work done – best to be honest.

What a lot of shit you two spill.

You can flash your ecu as much as you want it your bloody ecu not fords.  And no way on earth Ford can refuse your warranty claim if the count of flash’s as you well know the first thing Ford do is plug a laptop in your car.

Don’t comment on stuff you don’t personally have our used And tested your self.
