No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

It’s basically dealers discretion plenty of people have this and have took the car back for warranty work so would not say it robs you of it. Because that is false and misleading.

And the end of the day it can be took off any time.

 

And i fully don’t believe that them  counting your turn key cycle because if you disconnect your battery for more than ten mins it wipes it. your car does not have the memory capacity to hold data for such a long time.

A piston type wastegate or dump valve. Is always more superior than a diaphram one.

 

To raise the boost its the spring inside the wastegate or dump valve that changes the boost pressure. That’s why there an option if you order forge. The montune one is just pistion design with the same boost pressures as standard one.

 

Wastegate are a funny thing you can screw up more boost but you are limited to what the turbo can boost to anyways.

Has anyone added a wastegate with stronger spring and a uprated re circ valve to the ultima map,I have 99+ installed and still think it should have or hold more boost

any suggestions appreciated

i bought the wastegate but did not change it so far. it is with the higher spring in it. but with the ultima map I already had something around 1,7-1,8bar boost. and i was not sure if I change wastegate if then the CEL will go on so it is not fitted so far.

Ordered the Forge motorsport actuator with the blue spring. there are 3 types available. yellow(stock) then blue and at least the red.

But as written above, did not try it so far. Maybe by next workshop visit for coil over I will have a look for it.

Did never use the 99+ map, only from stock up to Ultima. Stock I was around 1,1 to 1.2 boost. hard to say but with ultima clearly over 1.7 to 1.8 boost.

I have recently px a Focus St mk3 which was mapped up and had the same torque as a standard RS,on collecting the RS I was a little disappointed with its standard performance ,it didn’t feel as lively as the ST,and I think once moving it would be close to the RS apart from wheel spin.

just installed Dreamscience imap ,first race99+ which was a improvement and yesterday the Ultima,and wow what a difference,that’s how the RS should be,a fantastic map and so easy to use

Thanks good advice,was more for reliability as they say standard wastegate and recirc valve not good for increased boost.

yes mine is around 1.7 to 1.8 on the Ultima map,it feels great and makes you smile every time you nail it lol

as Hammy wrote in an other thread already the Ultima 2 or 2+ is not full stock car. some hard mods are needed like sports cat or de-catted exhaust system. intercooler. hard charging pipe and some stuff. I just run the Ultima because no intercooler or hard chargepipe so far. only exhaust system and air filter. no intake mods or anything. will wait until car was at Ford for pressure test and HG replacement or what ever the test will show. after that the MODDING will move on a next level 😀
