Does anyone know if this fault been pinpointed?  I have the same problem. “Drive modes not available” whenever stop/starting when engine is hot.  Today the warning light came on mid 25min drive from cold (oil temp still rising).  Just wondering if I should just fit a blanking plug or persevere with the dealer to get a fix (software update/hardware replacement like some folks have done).  Dealer said they would fix this issue at first service (but obviously not). That’s a 300 mile round trip (again)!

    Cheers

Yes once fitted no issues, had mine on for months. Go for it, fitting only takes a few minutes.

@thebav, a quick squirt of wd40 up the exhaust pipe should unstick the flap and remove the drive mode not available sign worth giving it ago before you go down the exhaust valve fitting route
