Just a quick one and sorry if this has been asked before. My mate had a go of my car and said that the front end lifts/feels light under heavy acceleration. Is this typical or is something wrong with mine?

Well Mmmm, it could be. As the front wheels dig in for the launch off the front appears to lift slightly, it’s due to load and effect.

Now you’ll get some more response………

yeah, he’s probably not used to a 0-62mph in sub 5 seconds car! faster you accelerate, the less weight there is on the front wheels, hence some dragsters do wheelies ! oh, and motorbikes and push bikes if you are man enough in the thigh dept.

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

Cheers. So normal then? It wasn’t a launch control start by the way. They’re not allowed. Yet! He’s got an M3 that goes like hell so perhaps he’s just used to the way that handles.

Track mode with everything switched back to normal, the steering feels a little heavier and more responsive, you still get a light lifting of the front. Normal for fast starts
