Fuel display accuracy.

Had to go to a wedding on Saturday someway from home, no time to fill up first as running a bit late, no problem would fill up later, wrong.

At 11pm in a strange area all filling stations were closed anyway drove very sedately and eventually found one with only 13 miles left before empty.

Does anyone know how accurate the fuel gauge is ? or were we as lucky as I think we were.

I did 23 miles on zero miles till empty before I ran out of petrol and walked to the garage.  Think that works out about a gallon spare.

Agree with Rob, i ran mine to 0 miles to empty and it took ~12.5 gallons,  published capacity is 13.4.
