The Mountune M520 uses the Piper285 cams.
I still think this is probably the best all round cam for street and track, so easy to drive with and a nice increase in RPM’s and a nice lump of BHP’s added.

but when you dont need to spend £800 + on cams plus springs

the FP option is like £130 and will be far better to drive with than 285

 

 

i like the 285’s personally they are ok

but now we have seen m520 power for way less the fp option is way more affordable and perfect for those who want no sacrifice of drivability

Ford performance cams ? Didn’t know they did a set to fit focus RS

The Ford Performance cams ate marketed for the Ecoboost 2.3 Mustang but it’s basically the same engine and if you work in stages they are probably a Stage 0.5 as the Mountune Stage 1 has slight more lift and produces power for an extra 500rpm where as the FP cams run out of puff at 6000rpm.

The FP cams should drive nearly identical to factory as they aren’t that far from being factory

All depends what your goal is 👍
