Taught myself to play bass guitar at 14 years old. Now 60 and still gigging despite arthritis kicking  in thumb joints.

@elliot, top man, it’s all about the bass 😂 I have been playing brass for almost 60 years now mostly in brass bands playing cornet, flugelhorn and tenor horn also did a brief spell in a jazz band playing trumpet.

Used to gig regularly years ago playing drums for various bands in our area but haven’t for a long time now.

    Hi Robert,

Bit off topic but hey ho. I coughed up £1200 due to having been on a family company policy for the last 40 years. The pain has eased somewhat 😐

I sing Tenor in a choir – does that count?  Prefer music from the Renaissance (Byrd / Tallis / Lassus / Victoria).  Also have a soft spot for Marillion – new album out tomorrow!
