Hello girls and guys
My Name is Patrick and I am out of the snowy, cheesy, chocolate country Switzerland 🙂
Today I finally ordered my MK3RS and cant wait for it already. Should be ready in about 8 days, brand new, frozen white full option except the roof I did not take. Also there will be a non-res Milltek mounted and ready to bang and pop I hope.
I am a Ford Fan since I can think about cars and owned already several Fords already… Some examples : Fiesta XR2i, Escort MK3, Escort Cosworth RS, Sierra Cosworth 4×4Â and many more.
Hope the learn some new stuff in here and find out where you are all from 😉
Somebody has to explain me, how I can order in the Upgrades, for example that additional spoiler in glossy black on top of the original spoiler. This looks amazing to me and I would take one but since I am logged in, I still cant find the “buy” or “put to basket” button.
I hope you all understood my English, otherwise I am sorry but still pretty sure you will understand this better than our “swiss-german”

I stay once a year in Ponte Tresa. We usually fly to Milan and hire cars but this year are going July/August and it would be rude not to take the RS through the Alps, so we will drive from the UK. We will get to Basle asap and probably stop the night there, but Frenk on the other thread, another cheesy chocolate muncher, has recommended some great passes. I would be interested on your thoughts as to routes around the Swiss/Italian border please.
February 13, 2017 at 11:09 AM #22119Hey Patrick – glad to see another person from Switzerland! I also have a Mk3 RS (shadow black), and have done nearly 9,000KM in mine since August. I’m in Geneva and would be keen to meet up if you fancy a drive. I haven’t seen another Mk3 RS here yet, despite having mine for over six months!
I would also be interested to hear if you got the Miltek homologated here? And who will you use for servicing? I would love to find an RS specialist, as I have had very very bad experience with the Ford dealer here in Geneva.

@ Christ Barnes : The milltek is a resonated version starting from the cat. It is with homologation for Switzerland. So far as I understood from the Milltek distribution, I am the first one in Switzerland who buyed one. But it is all street legal. As a additional option you can also order the downpipe with a cat inside and this is street legal too. All other options like a de-cat downpipe or a non-resonated exhaust system is avaiable but no homologation for Switzerland’s streets.
If you are interested to my dealer, he is located near to STANS in Nidwalden. Let me know if you need more details then I can send you a private message. Do not wanna make advertising here for his car workshop. But I know him very well and long, he also take care of my Escort Cosworth in the past and I give my car only to people to work at which I trust too 100%.

Sounds like we need to arrange a drive together to check out your Miltek 🙂 I was told by a Zurich Ford dealer that Ford are working on European-wide homologation for some of the Mountune bits. I was surprised to hear it….only thing I would change on my car is the exhaust so would be great to hear the Miltek system once it’s installed. Let me know!

Sorry that I did not reply so far and even was not online here. I got my RS at the End of February with the resonated Milltek and I am total in love with the car! I have now 3’400km on the car and I just love it to drive!! The resonated milltek system is very comfortable when you drive with closed windows but outside it is just like war. I ordered now also the non-resonated middle pipe to compare the sound but this will be then a kind of illegal driving.
the resonated version I already have the papers from Milltek and all is good. but had to send my car papers to get the exhaust papers because I was somewhere the first one who ordered this exhaust system.
Next week there will be my new wheels arriving and then they will be painted in a very strong red like a Ferrari is. As soon as this is done I will fit them to the car and add my lowering springs from ST (KW suspensions) on it. I bought the fiften52 Tarmac rims with ET40 so I dont need any spacer plates of 15mm like a lot do. Will post then some pictures in the RS picture thread that you can have a look. I will also change some other parts then while I am in my workshop. There will be a new wastegate, the bonnet unlocking arm will be changed and some gas lifting pistons for the bonnet. Some details in red to fit the rims perfectly.
I think there are not many here in Switzerland with an RS already. Or they are not in the Forums active yet. Saw one grey RS 2 weeks ago and he even did not reply my greetings on the road… strange guy…
But to say it again : I LOVE THE CAR!
