    Greetings all,

I’ve enjoyed lurking for the last few days and reading the various posts.

I took delivery of my new Focus RS on Friday and have been taking it easy until I get past 1000 miles as the manufacturer recommends.

Originally I come from Scotland but moved out here almost 10 years ago with work and never went back.

Ive owned some modified cars in my time, along with some “fast out the box” ones and have had my fair share of success and horror stories with owning these beasts.

As a boy i always wanted an RS Ford and on Friday  I finally did it.

I’m looking forward to learning about these cars from you guys and finally getting over 1000 mile so I can go and find one of those huge empty parking lots and chucking it about.

    Cheers

    Wilky

Roughly speaking Bob, its going to be Houston, Dallas/FW, San Antonio, or if Callum likes partying and music…  ‘keep it weird’ Austin ! That’s my bet anyway !

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

    Im in Houston mate.

This is me buying the RS.

    Me buying RS

TR6 I restored and rebuilt when I first moved out here to louisiana.

My S9 WRC replica. All panels were WRC parts. I cannot take credit for this though my mate had it put together and I bought it from him and put a modified engine /turbo in it.

This was my favorite modified car.

Orange Challenger SRT 392 500 ponies and handled like a barge.

    hairdressers car

The car I traded in for the RS!!!

Ill see if I can find any more!

I know Bob, the pictures are fantastic, in fact, just the other day we were discussing how much we have been winning recently, and that the pictures are fabulous and that you are going to love them, and I mean love them.

“I’m so incredibly fascinated by Callum’s car history. I hear he’s just recently acquired a new Ford Focus RS, but it’s great that he can look back at the many, many cars he’s had before — and he’s had many great cars — so many-many great, great cars. It’s a great shame that this wonderful American car was made in Germany — and we intend to stop that — you want that stopped, right — yes, you all want that stopped — and we’re going to stop it — consider it stoped. Completely stopped. I have no idea what I’m doing.”

Welcome back to euro hatches Callum

it would be great to hear you real live take on the RS versus some of the American performance vehicle joe public enjoys.

i have a relative over in North Carolina with a viper and vette.

Just love the diversity of all the options, at least you don’t melt you trousers on the RS exhaust.

May the Ford be with you
