Hypothetical question would you if you had the money buy this, or would the fact that it is electric put you off?😸

My short answer is I would not consider any electric car currently. I will buy one once I can get in it and drive to where I want to go without worrying about range or where the nearest charging point is. Plus currently not enough infrastructure in place to support growth in electric vehicles.

I would on the otherhand love the instant acceleration and it would be awesome if you could flick between 4wd and rwd drift mode

    Thanks Bobcat.

I have no problem with electric if the performance is right. However, the body of the Lotus is too much F1-type for being a daily. Since we are day dreaming I’d prefer the Mustang Mach-E 1400, innit 😉

@frenk, great video thanks for sharing. Sure is a brutal beast 😹 I can see were you’re coming from although it’s still electric.

Assuming the Lotus is in the realm of £Millions (I couldn’t find the price in the article but the £250k deposit tells me its £Millions) I would go for the Koenigsegg Gemera. I know I should be more patriotic but I just think the Gemera is simply stunning and I can get the kids in too.

@Bobcat: There are two additional main issues. First, the battery of the Mach-E is empty after 30 minutes. Second, I live in an apartment house with parking hall. The installation of a 63A 400VAC charging station for all tenants will not happen in the next ten years. So I will be going hybrid, too, I guess.

@bobcat. I’m thinking hybrid Escort Cosworth. Only thing I would chop my RS in for currently

Maybe Ford are going to bring back the RS badge and do a Mk5 Focus RS all electric with say 150BHP at each corner?  that would do me, and no headgaskets or banjo leaks to worry about !

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

The Evija delivers almost 2000 horsepower, and Lotus claims this makes it the most powerful production car on the planet. Only 130 models of this leading-edge hypercar will be built, each priced at more than £2,500,000

Custom built to your colour spec😹
