    Thanks Mike

Aviva for me is £280. Not sure why it can vary so much

£580 for me with all modifications from Admiral, although the mods aren’t covered in the event of a claim – OEM parts only.   The variation is mainly based on postcode and occupation I think, but it’s all a rip-off if you ask me……….

Because they hope you cannot be bothered to hunt around for best deal. I am trying to find an energy supplier at the moment what a palaver.

My Aviva insurance went up about 25% so I went to L&V instead. £380 for 6K miles.

I renewed with Aviva as they were the cheapest I could get with mods declared – probably helps that I’ve 2 other cars insured with them and home insurance.

Then saved a further £20 by renewing online so £320

Is this happening near you ??

The police in the Tameside area could be whole of Manchester I don’t know if it is, are checking car mods on your insurance. If it’s coming back as none declared and you have mods their impounding your car as not insured, pretty severe approach

It would have to be someone who knew what they were looking for, most cops wouldn’t know the exhaust from the battery clamp. And if it is just remapped no external visible bolt on, how would you know.
