I picked up my Nitrous Blue 2017 RS last week and am very happy with it.

 

I ran a modified Fiat Coupe for 10 years but the time came to sell up and move on so after a bit of thinking it was either a Focus or Civic Type R. I drove both and the Civic couldn’t put it’s power down in wet conditions where as the Focus could so the decision was obvious!

 

I’m very happy with the car, although the stereo is appalling, and will be the first thing to sort out!

Hi and welcome, there’s a fix take it back to your dealership and ask them to sort it out. Good luck and happy RS’ing.

Details are:
3824 – Focus ST/RS poor sound distribution/quiet sound from rear speakers
If a customer complains that the soud is coming mainly from front speakers and the rear speakers are too quiet, be informed that an improved Audio Control Module software is now released. Note that this update affects Sony Premium Audio System on ST/RS only. Please use SBD for guided diagnostic. Please choose the following symptom. Customer comfort and entertainment -> Audio -> Soundoutput -> speakers -> Poor quality/distorted sound from one or more speakers (not all).

Good choice to move for a RS. Do not listen to all the trolls out there who still think joking about the headgasket is funny.

I did read up about the head gasket and the purchase to go with Ford vs Honda was made easier after the recent recall notice.
