Hi. Thanks for letting me join the rs forum. Names Michael  from Newcastle upon Tyne and this is the first Ford I  have owned so take it easy on me. Looking forward to the help and advice from you guys. A few will more than likely have seen the car I have acquired Having been the blue focus rs that  7day performance had on their competition. Well yes I was the lucky winner of that car.  I Can safely say it was a rather pleasant drive home from picking it up. I don’t no a great deal about the car in all honesty other than it is on a 16 plate and does have the Mountune 400 msd upgrade on it with  18300 miles on the clock. And that it is an awesome motor from what I have drove in it. Now I do have a few questions I’m sure you’ guys will be able to answer so here goes. With the millage that is on the car and not knowing any thing about it and not having any documentation of service history etc would it be advisable to have it serviced straight away? Next question to that is how do I find out the service history of it,if it has any and acquire it. And lastly where is the best place to have it serviced with it having the Mountune up grade kit being fitted and what prices am I looking to be paying.

Firstly, yes get it serviced, and have someone competent give it the once over for peace of mind (service cost approx. £300). I, rightly or wrongly, always suspect that raffle/lottery/prize cars are thrashed to within an inch of their lives before the giveaway.

No idea how to obtain the service history, as aside from the service book, the onerous GDPR tends to preclude the passing on of documents or info from the previous owner(s).

NuT to Essex will be a bit of a journey (although there are some that travel further) but my personal recommendation is FJRS Unit 2 Harrison Dr, Braintree CM7 1DE.  https://www.fjrs.co.uk/ Think of it perhaps as an annual pilgrimage interspersed with a good long drive.

FJRS are well versed in all things fast Ford, and have gained a well earned reputation for quality workmanship & professionalism with a personal touch.

Nice win. Low mileage, shame there doesn’t seem to be many more mods you can to do to it yourself.

Welcome to the forum. As mentioned above get it to a specialist for a service and once over. Then go and enjoy the car

i think that was up on autotrader not long back, very highly modified if i remember right, the type of cars these competitions give away always seem to be ones that folk struggle to sell, either high milers,no history or huge spec etc,it certainly looks great in the pic so congrats on your win, yes deffo get it thoroughly checked and serviced at a specialist so you know what youve got

Congrats Michael you jammy git! 🤣

Im sure there is a performance Ford specialist in the north east and someone will recommend soon, no need for such a long trip, plenty of talented people up north 👍🏻

A quick google search found these, they might not do service but sure if you ring them then they will recommend one. There was a guy called John near Peterlee that was meant to be a bit of a legend but that was back in 2013!
