I do not know at this moment if that means current orders will be fore filled 🤔 Anyone else heard this or seen anything about it?

PS could this mean the Focus Mk3 RS go up in value 🙂

Ford are really suffering with parts shortages at the moment. They’ve chosen to use any limited parts they have on more profitable SUVs – so Puma and Kuga are being prioritised.

They’ve just facelifted the Focus too, which makes this all the weirder.

I wonder if it’s dead forever or whether they’ll resume production once they’ve got parts availability sorted?

@chrisch, that was true Ford had suspended the production due to parts from Ukraine. I wonder if they’ll now stop production once current orders have been met! Interesting indeed.

I’m guessing this is only temporary. Seen this image this morning on the Ford UK website, note the word “currently”. Long term who knows though, the Mondeo is on it’s last legs, it could happen to the Focus.

It’s the most common car on UK roads… wtf… oh well they’ll probably reuse the name one day like the ‘Puma’ 🙁

Isn’t that the Ford USA web site as Ford pulled the Focus some time ago. Europe and the UK still have the Focus, but these are delayed

Autocar magazine ran an article recently stating that the future of the Saarloius plant in Germany (Focus production plant) is under review. It stated a decision will be made after the summer break in August. The problem was Ford now sell 12,000 Puma,s per month and are struggling to sell 3000 Focus per month.

Is on the UK site,  Fiesta as well as Focus can’t have new factory orders, Mach-E is limited new orders.  Mondeo can be ordered.

Puma and Kuga taking priority of parts supply as the growth areas, plus it’s where the better margin is.

Chip shortages are going to be around for at least another year or two.
