Evening mate!! I change my own oil every 6 months (6k) and that’s where I got my oil from. I got 21 litres, that’s 3 oil changes and some for topping up, £168, that was with £10 delivery coz of where I live. You get an extra 10% discount off your first order when you register with them. Really good company, recently purchased Spark Plugs from them and they were probably the cheapest I found.

    Cheers, Marc.

Brembo – Hi Marc, thanks for that.

Out of interest mate, with the map your running, and your enthusiastic use of it, (I hope you don’t mind me saying that!), how is your oil looking on drain down?, also, does the standard drain plug have a magnetic pickup.

“my enthusiastic use of it” haha!! Love it, very well put Indeed mate!! ??.

Oil has always looked fine, there’s probably no reason that I couldn’t leave it for 12k but I personally prefer to do it every 6k as my RS does get a bit of a hard time to say the least, lol!! Don’t think the Sump Plug is magnetic, can’t say for sure, but I don’t think it is.

    Cheers, Marc.

I was wondering why the oil pressure was much lower than in all my other cars. The oil being 0W-40 is the reason then. Very thin for turbo car.

I always use Motul oil from Opie but will need to check if they do a 0W-40 or not. Does everyone still stick with Castrol?

For me next oil change I’ll change to Castrol EDGE Supercar 5W-50, has the right specification for the RS, GT350, GT500 & GT in America but not here in Europe. 🤔

Guess it will work fine in mine I only drive it in the summer.

Don’t forget engine is not the only oil that needs changing- gearbox / PTU / RDU(changed mine at 13,000 miles and was surprised how black it was)is worthwhile a change if keeping car tip top

Mine will be used all year round but will only do about 4K per year so an annual service with the right oil would be fine.

0W40 would be no good for track days but I have other cars for that so will stick with recommended grade.

0w40 is fine for trackdays whatever the weather and it’s warranty friendly.
