Are they easy to replace yourself? havent spotted any youtube vids so dont even know if you have to drop the rear bumper but will have a look at the weekend as Im shoving my head under there to change the exhaust valve delete plug with the remote controller module instead (in readyness for Scorpion valved cat-back I have on order)
Did a lamp check recently on my 2016 Focus RS and found rear fog light not functioning. Although indicator on the dash is showing lamp ok, no light coming on at lower rear bumper. Once the weather improves here in Scotland….moves from below zero will crawl underneath to identify the fault and resolve the issue. Rear brake discs/pads due replacement so will complete at the same time.
Seems to very little information available on you tube regarding fault/s or removal/replacement. Expect it should be relatively straighforward..Famous last words…..
Checked my fog light, well before the MOT fortunately, and yes although it has had little use, it was kaput and I’m just out of warranty!!
Hella one on previous post is exactly the same, (mine was a Hella one and not even Ford marked)
Bought one, found the correct push on molex connector and pins online and give it a go, positive and negative are opposite way round but other than that….sorted!!
Ford cost £200+!!!!
DIY cost £50!!!!!!
Easy to do, working from underneath…. 5 bolts holding a heat shield inside the rear bumper, 3bolts holding the light in!!!
