Service and Warranty

Can someone help regarding 1st service.  My local Ford dealership say they cannot carry out warranty or even service my RS as warranty would be void – car has to be serviced at a Fordstore.  I am in Aberdeenshire and my nearest Fordstore is in Inverness two hours drive away.  Called Ford and they were no help.  Can anyone advise ?

I have mine serviced at a normal Ford dealer, not a Fordstore and the warranty is still valid. All warranty work has been carried out by them with no problems at all. Service book stamped up etc.

Morning mate!!

I’m not sure about Aberdeen, I’d have thought that there would have been a Ford Dealer there you could use, but I use the Dealer in Inverness. I had my Head Gasket Recall and first Service done there and also went there to have PDC and FENG turned off along with Keyless Entry disabled. I’ve had no issues there at all so would definitely recommend them but I understand it’s a bit of a drive for you.

Maybe someone from Aberdeen will come on and give some advice??

Thought it was a Ford Warranty NOT a Ford Store one.

I was lead to believe any dealer can service and do warranty repairs, but only Ford Stores can sell the Mustang and RS brand.

Arnold Clark on the langstract do warranty work on the rs and servicing or have you tried aboyne service station they are a Ford dealer also there is Lawrence of Kenmay inverurie

Any VAT registered garage can service a car so long as they use the manufacturer recommended parts and oil without affecting the warranty  Any Ford dealer can carry out warranty work regardless of the car being an RS.

@turraloon I’m in Aberdeen got mine serviced in Perth as it specialises in RS,

i wouldn’t go to ford garage on craigshaw road,

caught the mechanic racing my ST on the motorway against a motorbike!

Only reason I knew was I was driving the mrs car at the time!

Ripped the manager a new a-hole cancelled my order of RS and bought it in Perth

When the RS was first announced Ford did some presentations during which it was stated that ANY Ford dealer can look after the car NOT just a Fordstore.

Yupp have to agree all my services, warranty work carried out by non Ford Store, a Ford dealership nevertheless, no problem.

I hope so. !!!  My Lerwick FORD dealership is nothing like a Ford Store.  All servicing and recall work carried out there.
