It was me in the US that suffered the engine failure.
The failure had nothing to do with the Syvecs unit itself but was due to the fact that I was running an E60 ethanol blend which allowed the engine to produce more torque than the stock internals could handle.
You can certainly run the Syvecs on an engine with stock internals. To see the most benefit of the unit (bigger turbo, port injection, etc) you’re really going to want to upgrade the engine internals.
